Recent advances in carbon cycle research: temperature, phenology and fluorescence

Despite decades of research in the carbon cycle, our ability to understand and model the carbon process is still limited, partially because the mechanistic controls of the carbon cycle are not fully understood. I will review the recent advances in carbon cycle research and present my work on controlling factors of carbon cycling, focusing on temperature, physiology, succession, and phenology. I will then present my recent pioneer work in solar induced fluorescence, which provides a new insight on photosynthesis and the carbon cycle.
