I research interacting risks to agrarian systems, with a focus on interactions among changes in hydrology, water resources (e.g., drought, flooding), and the economy. I am particularly interested in how interactions among global change risks drive farm-level adaptation.  My research is solution oriented.  I incorporate institutions and human values into my work and try to understand how they influence decisions made under uncertainty.  I work with decision makers and stakeholders to incorporate my findings into adaptation decision-making processes to enact change for the better.
